Few federal departments touch the lives of everyday Americans as deeply as the U.S. Department of Agriculture with its responsibilities for food safety and production.

USDA relies on a set of component agencies that provide loans and financing to farmers, manage vast reserves of natural resources, regulate food processors, and provide food security to at risk populations.

USDA is a ripe marketplace for a wide range of technologies and services and the department uses a large number of contractors and contract vehicles to buy what it needs.

Given the breadth of its mission, USDA also has been at the leading edge of many emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.

In this Power Breakfast, USDA leaders will share where they are focused and what their biggest challenges are. Key takeaways will include how industry can support the department and how the competitive landscape is evolving.
